PUNK #15: The Monster (Part 3)
Well ahead of our time, we at the Punk Incorporated Sudios had perfected the sophiticated special effects that made this visually stunning action sequence a reality. Despite the risk of disallusioning the children who may have grown up thinking that Joey Ramone was a master surfer, I feel that the time has come to reveal the shocking truth: This surfing sequence was a manufactured event! In fact, Joey Ramone, in the tradition of Brian Wilson, didn't know how to surf. Our crack team of special effects artists (me) was able to utilize the most highly advanced technology available at the time (poster paint) to lift Mr. Ramone from the humdrum Coney Island beach where Mutant Monster Beach Party was filmed, and drop him right in the thundering surf of the imagination. And now, for the first time, the inner workings of the technique have been made visible to the layman. Modern imaging techniques allow you to zoom in and view where the photo stopped and the layout board began! (Just click on the hot spot indicated with the arrow.)

(PLEASE NOTE: No Ramones were hurt in the filming of this Action Sequence.)
